Let’s face it: Sometimes, working in a treatment court can feel like an uphill battle. Positive outcomes don’t always mean that funders, the public, or the media understand your value to the community. Even communicating with participants can be challenging and can carry significant risks. In this interactive session, the All Rise communications team will show you how strategic messaging and language can be powerful tools for engaging stakeholders—including participants, colleagues, funders, the media, community partners, the public, and more—to improve outcomes of all types.
Objectives
- Understand the power of messaging and language to connect with treatment court participants and improve program outcomes.
- Examine the importance of credibility, integrity, and trustworthiness when working with traumatized populations.
- Learn how to strategically adjust messaging and language for a wide range of audiences to achieve various goals, including bolstering funding, engaging the media, and increasing community awareness and support.
