A high-functioning recovery court is one that employs effective communication strategies. Recovery court team members communicate in a number of ways to ensure day-to-day operations continue and participants' behaviors are appropriately addressed. What barriers exist to effective communication? This session will cover effective communication in recovery court, including effective communication between team members and team/program-to-participant communication. It is a good refresher for seasoned professionals and will provide valuable material to new team members.
Objectives:
- Participants will understand how team members' unique and varying roles play a part in team communication.
- Participants will learn ways to ensure effective communication.
- Participants will be able to identify the foundational concepts of procedural fairness and why it matters in communication.
ATTENTION: We are a NAADAC-approved provider and will have CEUs. For Attorneys, we will have CLE.
