RECOVERY COURTS WORK

WHO ARE WE?

The Tennessee Association of Recovery Court Professionals is a statewide 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with an office located in Nashville, Tennessee. We support recovery courts by offering training, technical assistance, education, legislative advocacy, resource sharing, and networking opportunities for recovery courts and their partners.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Tennessee Association of Recovery Court Professionals (TARCP) is committed to reducing substance abuse, crime, and recidivism in Tennessee by promoting, advocating, and supporting Recovery Courts and individual TARCP members in their efforts to provide a quality therapeutic community that promotes positive change in criminal and addictive behavior for the purpose of transforming offenders into positive, contributing members of our communities.

TARCP STRUCTURE

The association is governed by a board that is elected from the membership rolls. Elections are held every two years, usually at the December conference. The board conducts open meetings every other month, and members can attend via video conferencing or in person at the TARCP office. We also have working committees that meet year-round to address issues relevant to recovery courts. Ongoing committees include: Education and Training, Conference, Communications, Legislation and Advocacy, and Membership.
